This vintage look works well indoors also, our smallest sizes will illuminate a restaurant menu board, bookcase, or shelving unit. The Warehouse shade is our most popular shade style, and we offer in a large variety of sizes.

Shallotte Electric

The Shallotte Electric Stores were founded by Alton and Edna (E.B.) Milliken along with two of their teenage sons Al and Jamie. They rented a red and white grocery store building in June of 1971. The family stocked shelves and in some cases used empty boxes to give the appearance of a large inventory. Their timing in starting the business was good as the Brunswick County beaches became more and more popular. As Brunswick County Grew so did the business.
