The Octave 1-light sconce from Savoy House has understated elegance. It features a large curved shade of clear glass, minimal detailing and a warm brass finish. It may be mounted as either uplight or downlight. Sconces add a touch of style and light to any wall, including but certainly not limited to hallways, entryways, stairways, great rooms and dining rooms. You will also often see a pair of sconces flanking a bathroom vanity mirror to provide an even, flattering wash of light. Because the bulb is exposed, try using a stylized bulb (not included) such as Edison for a different look! The warm brass finish can be paired with brass hardware or mixed with hardware in other fixtures. Try the Octave with glam, transitional or contemporary style rooms for a chic look. Shallotte Electric

The Shallotte Electric Stores were founded by Alton and Edna (E.B.) Milliken along with two of their teenage sons Al and Jamie. They rented a red and white grocery store building in June of 1971. The family stocked shelves and in some cases used empty boxes to give the appearance of a large inventory. Their timing in starting the business was good as the Brunswick County beaches became more and more popular. As Brunswick County Grew so did the business.
